to control dealing in Companies' shares in China, I an

directed by Secretary Sir E.Grey to stute for the

information of Mr.Secretary Harcourt that His Majesty's

Minister at Peking is now being authorised to issue

the Companies (Sale of Shares) Regulations in the form

of the proof copy annexed,

The maintenance of these Regulations will be

reconsidered after three years, if during that

time

they are not found to have had any beneficial effect.
